6'4'' G, DeVince Boykins, has chosen the Marshall Thundering Herd. The highly-recruited Foster City, NC product was also being heavily recruited by the Gamecocks, as well as Clemson, Georgia, & Wake Forest. It's certainly an interesting coup for the CUSA school, and a disappointing loss for Darrin Horn and the USC coaching staff.

Best/Worst Case Scenarios
In case you missed this, Eamonn Brennan had a nice look at best/worst case scenarios for SEC teams in the upcoming season. Personally, I feel that he was a bit tough on the Gamecocks, completely discounting the impact of the incoming freshman class.

Howdy Gamecock basketball fans! Yea, I know, it's still football season...but basketball practice kicks off in a couple of weeks, and the season will be here before you know it.
